Erichsen SmartPenErichsen has launched the SmartPen, a modular hardness test pencil featuring a digital test force setting it says ensures more accuracy than the previous mechanical spring force setting.

The SmartPen is supplied independent of a specific test head. Users can equip the SmartPen with all test heads and the corresponding accessories (test tips, test discs, test tool) of Erichsen models 318 and 435.

For the hardness measurement of surfaces, the degrees of hardness of paint films, plastic coatings, etc. can be determined, named, documented and communicated in numerical values. He device works on flat or curved surfaces, small or large, and is small and easily transportable.

An introductory price of $1,599 is being offered until October 1 (regular price is $2,557).
